PAISLEY AFFAIR | ABOUT US
A Letter, To the woman who carries more than anyone sees —
I have been thinking about you for a long time.
Long before I had a brand, or a collection, or the words to explain what I was making and why — I had you in mind. A woman I recognized. A woman I understood not from a distance, but from the inside.
I know the woman who has learned to carry hard things gracefully — so gracefully that no one thinks to ask if she needs help. Who shows up steady and whole for the people she loves, who holds the shape of everything around her, and who saves her own unraveling for the quiet hours when no one is watching.
I know her because I have been her. And I know what it costs.

There was a season in my life when I was giving far beyond what I had — holding others through their storms while quietly weathering my own, reaching out when I could and discovering, gently but unmistakably, that there was no one coming. That some journeys ask you to find your own footing.
And as frightening as that felt — it was the beginning of something.
Because when you are left alone with yourself long enough, something extraordinary happens. You begin, slowly and with great tenderness, to meet yourself. Not the self you present to the world — but the real one. The one that was there all along.
I turned inward. To stillness, to healing, to the long and patient work of learning to be my own companion. And what I found there was not brokenness. It was a woman of real beauty and real depth — with gifts worth celebrating and limitations worth honoring, equally.
I fell in love with myself. Quietly. Imperfectly. Completely.
And out of that — out of that returning — Paisley Affair was born.

I built this brand the way you might build a conversation with yourself. Searching for strength in other women's stories. Finding my own voice by sharing something true and hopeful. Learning, slowly, that the feminine is not a limitation to be managed but a creative force to be honored — and that a woman who has tended to herself first gives something altogether different to the world.
It is fair to say that Paisley Affair founded me as much as I founded it.
Every piece I make carries that history in it — quietly, the way meaningful things do. Each collection is crafted in small batches by artisans whose hands hold generations of heritage, using fabrics chosen for the way they feel at the end of a long day: soft, fluid, cool against the skin. Each print is drawn from India's rich visual tradition — paisleys and florals rendered by hand for centuries, reimagined here as an invitation to slow down, to feel, to come home.
And every print is named for a woman who chose herself. Who moved through the world on her own terms. Not a perfect woman. A true one. Because I believe we find our own strength in each other's stories — and in wearing her name, something in you remembers your own.
Heritage woven into every thread. A story in every motif. Softness that asks nothing of you — except that you let yourself receive it.

I want you to know that this is not just a place to find beautiful things.
It is a place that was built for the woman who gives everything — so that she might, finally, give something to herself. A ritual. A threshold. A quiet, daily reminder that rest is not something you earn. It is something you were born deserving.
You don't have to have arrived anywhere to deserve softness. You don't have to have figured it out. You deserve it now, in the middle of it, exactly as you are.
I built Paisley Affair for you — and once, for the version of me who needed it most.
I am so glad you found your way here.
