Every piece is made from 100% cotton, hand block-printed by artisans in Sanganer, India, using azo-free dyes, and made in small batches. Every print is named for a real woman.
What does Paisley Affair make?
Pajama sets with full-length pants, short sets with relaxed shorts, kimono robes in knee length (39.5") or long (47"), and button-down shirts, lounge pants and shorts sold on their own. Many prints also come as a matching scrunchie or headband, and there's a gift card for when you'd rather she choose.
What does hand block-printed mean?
Each pattern is carved into wooden blocks, and artisans press them onto the cotton by hand, one impression at a time. It's a centuries-old craft in Sanganer, near Jaipur, and the small variations from piece to piece are part of its beauty. More on how it's done.

Why cotton?

How do the sizes fit?
Pajama sets and short sets come in S, M, L and XL. Robes come in S/M and L/XL, and the open wrap and tie fit comfortably across a range of sizes. Each product page lists its sizes, and the Fit Guide has full measurements.
Can I mix and match prints?
Yes. Shirts, lounge pants and shorts are sold on their own in Separates, so you can pair a top in one print with pants in another, or add a single piece to a set you already love.
How do I care for them?
Machine wash cold with like colors. The cotton is pre-washed and pre-shrunk, and it softens with every wash.
What are shipping and returns?
US shipping is a $5 flat rate, and free on orders over $100. You have 30 days to return or exchange, including for a different size, with items back in their original packaging.
Do you offer gift wrapping?
Every order is wrapped plastic-free. Leave a message in the order notes, and we'll include a handwritten card.
